Hmmm.
It’s also odd that Chasing Ice gives no credit to Greenpeace, which provided transport and (along with NASA) funding for the EIS time-lapse project.
I didn’t like this “awarded the Nobel” spin when Steve Schneider did it, nor when Mike Mann did it. Jason (whom I met briefly last week) ought to back down too.
He probably didn’t write the CI profile. His profile at Meltfactor.org merely says that he was a contributing author to the prize-winning IPCC’s 2007 report.
Jason Box also worked on “Operation Iceberg” by the BBC, which was very good – if a little truncated (two hours of TV when they could have had six and gone into greater depth). It also has some good shots of a couple of calving events. Narration was a bit hyperbolic at times (eg the dramatic emphasis when saying “mega-berg”) but it could have been a lot worse.
You would comprehend it less if you saw it on the big screen. See it on the big screen!!!
