One year ago, the Supreme Court ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had to rule immediately on whether it intended to regulate carbon dioxide emissions. One year later, EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson has continued to drag his heels, leading 17 states to file suit against the EPA today for flouting the Supreme Court’s ruling. The lawsuit seeks to compel the EPA to act within 60 days.

UPDATE: Reuters is reporting that 18 states (not 17) are suing the EPA, as well as officials from three cities and at 11 environmental groups.
Global Ennui
it is too hot to sleep
but turning on the A/C is like opening the door to artic winter
so you sweat and lie awake listening to other peoples air conditioners
so this is what every proposed solution to global warming is really like
America lies awake sweating while China and India run produce more CO2 than we ever dreamed of.
Well, at least the Greenies will feel good about themselves.
It is worth noting that China and India still have per-capita emissions that are a fraction of ours, and while we use their lack of action on GHG emissions as an excuse to do nothing they are using our lack of action on GHG emissions to nothing.
What is needed is real leadership, and frankly I don’t think that is to much to ask from our politicians.
