This was an amazing restaurant. The whole place was designed by a botanist and is filled with plants from around northern Thailand, and is set up to make it seem like you are actually in the middle of the jungle (think the Rainforest cafe, but real and not tacky!) To make it more convincing there are countless small streams and waterfalls all over the place, so you always have the backdrop sound of running water. The place looked amazing, but more importantly the food was incredible.
After the sunset the place is illuminated with lights of all colors, but all the fixtures are hidden to keep the atmosphere.
Just keep reminding yourself that this is a restaurant.
Thanks… If anything, your review is an understatement. I am planning a trip to Northern Thailand soon, and will make a one-way 5 hour drive just to return to this incredible restaurant.
