The big (virtual) move -UDATED
[UPDATE 3: Everything should be working properly now, if something is wonky, hinky or screwy (especially screwy!) please let me know. Thanks!]
I’ve decided to move this blog. But don’t worry if all goes according to plan you shouldn’t notice a thing. In fact the plan is to have all old URLs automatically and transparently redirect to the new URLs. That goes for the RSS feed as well.
Of course things may not go as planned, so if you notice any bugs, or other weirdness please send me an email.
Also, I will be posting all the gritty details on twitter.
UPDATE: Everything should be working now. The only thing I have yet to figure out is how to get http://mind.ofdan.ca/blog to redirect to http://mind.ofdan.ca. Damn you overly complicated (but super powerful) Apache mod_rewrite! Of course if you notice any bugs, or other weirdness please let me know.
UPDATE 2: Ok I give up! No URL rewriting for you! What does that mean? Only that for every page there exists two URLs,for example this page can be accessed by: a) http://mind.ofdan.ca/?p=2205 and b) http://mind.ofdan.ca/blog/?p=2205
Not a big deal, and you should only see those links if you are following links that originally pointed to the old scruffdyan.com/blog URL, but it bugs me. And it bugs me that I haven’t yet figured it out. But thats how it is going to be… at least for now.
Never say never! I got it to work! It turns it turns out mod-rewrite isn’t what I needed, I just needed a simply redirect. And that I know how to do!
UPDATE 3: Everything should be working properly now, if something is wonky, hinky or screwy (especially screwy!) please let me know. Thanks!

Why the change? Concerned the “Scruffy” part was detracting from your credibility, or what?
The short answer is yes. But of course things are a bit more complex than that. I also wanted to consolidate all my sites (actually future sites) under one domain name, and ofdan.ca seemed like a good idea.
But don’t worry, ScruffyDan will still be around. I don’t plan on changing the name of my online persona.
